Crossover and Multiband Split Helper

Start a multiband chain with conservative crossover points that line up with common frequency ranges.

How the math works

There is no universal split that works for every source, so the tool sticks to standard frequency-region boundaries and only suggests source-specific values when a starting point is reasonably established.

When you would use it

  • Split a full mix into low, mid, and presence zones before multiband compression.
  • Separate kick drum weight from beater click for parallel processing.
  • Set a bass multiband split that isolates low-mid congestion from string definition.

FAQ

Why are these only starting points?

Because source material and arrangement change where the useful boundary should be.

Why not invent values for every possible combination?

Because made-up precision is worse than an honest starting range.

Should I still use a spectrum analyzer?

Yes. Ears first, analyzer second, presets last.
